What Is It?

The Big Containment Pac™ is a portable spill response system that combines primary spill containment with absorbent cleanup materials in one compact package. The core component is the Inflatable Containment Tank™, a self-inflating containment pool capable of holding up to 100 gallons of liquid. Combined with absorbent pads and Sorb Sox that absorb up to 10 gallons, the complete package provides containment and cleanup capabilities for spills up to 110 gallons.

Unlike traditional containment pools that require significant storage space, the Big Containment Pac™ is vacuum-sealed into a compact package that can be stored where larger spill response products cannot.

How Is It Used?

Remove the Big Containment Pac™ from storage.

  1. Open the package using the tear notch.
  2. Don appropriate personal protective equipment.
  3. Remove and position the Inflatable Containment Tank™ beneath the leak or spill source.
  4. Pull the ripcord to activate the CO₂ inflation system.
  5. Allow the containment tank to fully inflate.
  6. Deploy Sorb Sox around drains, waterways, or sensitive areas as needed.
  7. Use absorbent pads to recover spilled liquids.
  8. Place contaminated materials into the included disposal bag.
  9. Dispose of materials according to applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Inflatable Containment Tank™ Benefits

  • Self-Inflating Design: The ICT uses a CO₂ inflation system with a simple pull-rip activation mechanism. Once activated, the tank inflates in seconds and is ready to capture leaking products.
  • Compact Storage: When folded and stored in its carrying case, the ICT measures approximately 14" x 16" x 5", making it ideal for mobile response applications.
  • Self-Supporting Structure: The containment pool features self-supporting sidewalls that hold their shape without additional framework or supports.
  • Deflation and Repacking: After use, the safety release valve allows controlled deflation for storage and redeployment. Replacement CO₂ cylinders are available for continued use.
