The Semi-Automatic model requires the rescuer to press the shock button, while the Fully Automatic model delivers treatment automatically when a shockable rhythm is detected

What Is It?

The ZOLL AED 3 is an automated external defibrillator (AED) used to treat victims experiencing sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The device analyzes heart rhythms and, when appropriate, delivers a potentially life-saving shock while guiding rescuers through CPR and rescue procedures.


How Is It Used?

  1. Turn on the AED.
  2. Apply the CPR Uni-padz® electrodes to the patient.
  3. Follow the visual and voice prompts displayed on the screen.
  4. Perform CPR as directed by Real CPR Help® feedback.
  5. For pediatric patients, activate Child Mode without changing pads.
  6. Deliver a shock if instructed (Semi-Automatic) or allow the unit to automatically deliver the shock (Fully Automatic).
