Installation Instructions
- Safety First
- Wear cut-resistant gloves and eye protection.
- Ensure the chain brake is disengaged before starting.
- Remove Existing Components
- Loosen and remove the bar nuts using the combination spanner.
- Take off the clutch cover and any spacers or rings.
- Position the Bar
- Fit the 16" Shark bar over the bar bolts.
- Slide it into the rearmost position for easier chain fitting.
- Install the Chain
- Place the Terminator Carbide Chain over the drive sprocket.
- Ensure the cutter teeth face forward on the top edge of the bar.
- Align the drive links into the bar groove.
- Attach the Clutch Cover
- Insert the chain adjuster pin into the hole in the bar.
- Refit the clutch cover and hand-tighten the bar nuts.
- Tension the Chain
- Lift the bar tip slightly and turn the tensioning screw clockwise until the chain fits snugly but moves freely by hand.
- Do not overtighten—proper tension prevents premature wear.
- Final Checks
- Tighten the bar nuts securely.
- Rotate the chain manually to confirm smooth movement.
- Recheck tension after first use—chains settle during operation.
