What is it?

The Snagger Tool is a firefighter hose‑handling and rescue multi‑tool engineered to assist with charged hoseline control, forcible movement, coupling operation, glass breaking, and rapid egress tasks during firefighting and rescue operations.

How is it used?

The Snagger Tool is used by engaging a charged hose line, automatically rotating the firefighter’s hand approximately 90 degrees from a traditional grip position. This positioning improves posture, increases strength, reduces fatigue, and places the firefighter in a safer position relative to the fire and hoseline. The tool is also used to break tempered glass, penetrate drywall or wallboard, support charged hose on ladders or railings, and manipulate hose couplings.

Who uses it?

The Snagger Tool is used by First Responders, including firefighters, rescue teams, and rapid intervention crews, who require a portable and versatile fireground tool for hose handling, rescue support, and emergency egress operations.

What is it used with?

    • 38 mm (1.5")
