Ziamatic WALKAWAY® SCBA Spring Clip Brackets with Positive Holding Strap (PHS) provide an added level of cylinder retention while maintaining fast access to SCBA equipment. Designed for First Responders, these brackets combine the WALKAWAY® spring clip design with a securing strap to help keep SCBA cylinders firmly in place during transport, storage, and response operations.

These models are well suited for fire stations, apparatus compartments, and other non‑crew areas where additional cylinder security is desired.

Features

  • WALKAWAY® Spring Clip Design: Allows SCBA cylinders to be stowed and removed quickly without complex latching mechanisms.
  • Positive Holding Strap (PHS): Includes a securing strap designed to provide additional cylinder retention during movement or transport.
  • Harness and Hose Clearance: Spring clip and seat configuration accommodates modern SCBA harnesses and hose assemblies.
  • Non‑Mar Coated Clips: Coated upper clip helps protect the cylinder surface during repeated stowage and removal.
  • Simple Operation: Cylinder is placed on the footplate, pushed into the clips, and secured with the holding strap.
  • Cylinder‑Specific Fit: Available in size‑specific models to match common SCBA cylinder diameters and pressure ratings.
  • Non‑Crew Area Installation: Intended for use in stations or non‑crew compartments in accordance with applicable apparatus standards.

What is it?

The Ziamatic WALKAWAY® SCBA Spring Clip Bracket with Positive Holding Strap is a mounting solution designed to store SCBA cylinders securely while allowing rapid access. The bracket combines spring clip retention with a strap that helps keep the cylinder in place, providing added security without sacrificing ease of deployment.

How is it used?

To store an SCBA cylinder, the valve is placed onto the footplate and the cylinder is pushed into the spring clips. The Positive Holding Strap is then secured around the cylinder. To deploy, the strap is released and the cylinder is pulled free from the clips, allowing quick access during emergency response.
