Unlike thermal imaging cameras, it does not display an image; instead, it alerts firefighters to heat through highly sensitive detection technology and audible feedback.

How Is It Used?

Held like a flashlight, the 955L is swept across walls, ceilings, floors, and debris during overhaul or investigation. When elevated temperatures are detected, the scanner emits an audible alarm that increases in pitch as the device moves closer to the hot spot, allowing firefighters to locate heat without diverting attention from their surroundings.
