Repackaging Step-by-Step Instructions

*Before you begin repacking, make sure the CO2 Firing Mechanism is armed. Refer to the instructions on the RBA-200. Ensure the CO2 bottle is full, unpierced, and unfired, and that the lower bobbin mechanism shows green, not red.

  1. Preparation: Ensure the rescue tube is dry and laid flat. Position the tube face up and fold the red grasp handles onto the tube.
  2. Fold Handles: After folding the grasp handles, locate the red webbing at the end of the tube nearest the arming canister. Pinch the red webbing where it intersects with the grasp handles.
  3. First Fold: Lift and fold the end of the rescue tube onto itself, keeping the Firing Mechanism on top. The tube should fold into three layers.
  4. Tuck Webbing: As you pack the tube, tuck in any loose webbing. Fold the tube a second time, aligning the folds with the spots where the grasp handles connect to the tube.
  5. Third Fold: Fold the tube a third time towards the end. Press gently to flatten it.
  6. Secure Ends: Once the three folds are complete, tuck in both ends of the tube. Fold the tow straps onto the tube.
  7. Roll Tube: With the tube stacked and all straps tucked in, roll the tube into a tightly packed cylinder.
  8. Pack Tube: Open the Velcro on the nylon pack and place the rolled-up tube inside. Close and seal the Velcro along the sides and top of the pack.
  9. Final Secure: Ensure the rescue tube is packed into a cylinder with the pull tab hanging out of the pack. Secure the pull tab with the small Velcro strap at the top of the pack.

By following these steps, you can ensure the rescue tube is properly repacked and ready for use in an emergency.
