Ratcheting Hydrant Wrench - 4-Hole

The EZ Spanner™ 4‑Hole Ratcheting Hydrant Wrench – Standard Handle (Model 4400) is a multi‑functional ratcheting fire hydrant wrench designed to be fully customizable to a Fire District’s needs. This tool provides four socket positions, allowing users to configure the wrench with hydrant nut sizes commonly encountered within their response area.

The wrench features a high strength aluminum body combined with 100% stainless steel gears and moving parts, including the socket mechanism. This construction supports heavy‑duty use in emergency response and hydrant operation environments.

The ratcheting design allows repeated turning of hydrant operating nuts without removing and repositioning the tool between movements. Custom‑designed hooks located at the top of the wrench are intended to provide a secure fit on hose couplings and fittings, avoiding the slippage often associated with universal‑style hooks.

The Standard Handle configuration is designed for compatibility with the EZ Spanner™ Breaker Bar when additional leverage is required. This setup allows users to apply increased force when opening difficult or tightly secured hydrants.

What is it?

The EZ Spanner™ Model 4400 is a 4‑hole ratcheting fire hydrant wrench designed to operate fire hydrant valves using a ratcheting socket system with configurable socket sizes.

How is it used?

The wrench is placed onto a hydrant operating nut using one of the installed sockets. The ratcheting mechanism allows the user to turn the hydrant without removing and repositioning the wrench after each rotation. When additional leverage is needed, the Standard Handle is designed to be used with the EZ Spanner™ Breaker Bar.
