Who Uses This Item?

The Quic-Choc® Wheel Chock is widely used across several industries and emergency services, including:

  • Fire Departments: Required by NFPA 1901 to have two-wheel chocks on every fire apparatus. These chocks help stabilize vehicles during emergency operations.
  • EMS Teams: Used to secure ambulances and support vehicles during patient care or roadside emergencies.
  • Rescue Units: Essential for vehicle stabilization during extrication or recovery operations.
  • Utility Fleets: Used in service yards and field operations to prevent vehicle movement during maintenance or loading.
  • Industrial & Construction Crews: For securing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment on job sites.
  • Military & Tactical Vehicles: Used in rugged environments where secure parking is critical.

Important Safety Information

  • WARNING: Undersized chocs may fail to restrain a vehicle. A vehicle could potentially roll over or crush an undersized choc, resulting in property damage, bodily injury, or death.
  • Note: NFPA 1901 requires that each fire apparatus have two easily accessible wheel chocs before it can be placed into service. These wheel chocs must be able to hold the fully loaded apparatus on a 20-percent grade hard surface with the transmission in neutral and the parking brake released.
  • WARNING: Be sure to outfit each apparatus with appropriately sized chocs for its tires. Undersized chocs may fail to properly restrain a vehicle, making it easily rolled over or, in some cases, crushed, potentially resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury to personnel.
  • SAEJ348 Standard: The chock complies with SAEJ348, which sets the criteria for the design, manufacture, and testing of wheel chocks
