The Rex Tool, a unique lock extraction device, was conceived by Lt. Rex Morris of FDNY Rescue 3. Its “U” shape and sharply pointed blades allow it to grip and extract lock cylinders of various dimensions. The tool’s original head design and additional leverage offer the mechanical upper hand needed to remove securely fastened lock cylinders. Once the cylinders are removed, the chisel end on the opposite side can operate rim locks.
