What is it?

Lightweight Hydrant Diffuser (22532) is a 2.5‑inch hydrant attachment designed to control and distribute water flow during hydrant flushing operations. It provides directional discharge through a 45‑degree outlet and uses a 360‑degree swivel to ensure proper redirection of hydrant flow.

How is it used?

This diffuser attaches to a standard 2.5‑inch NST‑type hydrant outlet. Once installed, First Responders and utility personnel can open the hydrant while using the swivel and angled discharge to direct water safely, avoiding property damage, landscape disruption, or hazardous spray patterns.

What is it used with?

• Standard 2.5‑inch NST (National Standard Thread / NH) hydrant outlets, which are the most common hydrant threads used by fire departments and water utilities.
• Can be used alongside hydrant flow‑testing tools, pitot gauges, and flushing equipment when applicable (not included).

Maintenance Information
