Installation Instructions for Irons Lok

Tools and Materials Needed

  • Drill
  • Hex Wrench (3/16)
  • Screwdriver
  • Mounting Hardware (included with the bracket)


Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Position the Bracket:
    • Determine the desired location for the Irons Lok bracket on your fire apparatus.
    • Ensure the surface is stable and suitable for mounting.
  • Mark and Drill Holes:
    • Position the assembled bracket and mark the hole locations.
    • Drill four holes through the center of the aluminum channels and the mounting surface.
  • Attach the Bracket (Standard Bolt-Through):
    • Use the included hex head screws (P/N 2038) and hex nuts (P/N 2069LN) to attach the bracket to the mounting surface.
    • Tighten securely to ensure stability.
  • Attach the Bracket (PAC TRAC):
    • Use the included Phillips pan head screws (P/N 2049) and TracLok inserts (P/N 7016) for mounting on PAC TRAC systems.
    • Tighten to the recommended torque specifications.
  • Adjust the Lock Strap:
    • If needed, reverse the strap direction or make adjustments using the hex wrench (P/N 2030).
    • Ensure the strap is securely fastened around the tools.
  • Final Checks:
    • Verify that all fasteners are tightened securely.
    • Ensure the bracket and tools are stable and secure before putting into service.
