What is it?

The SQCH-44-H is a horizontal mounting bracket engineered to hold the Folding Wheel Chock. It provides a secure, space-saving solution for storing the chock under emergency vehicles, ensuring it’s always accessible when needed.

How is it used?

This holder is installed horizontally under a vehicle’s running board or inside a compartment. The SAC-44-E chock is folded and inserted into the bracket, where a latch mechanism holds it firmly in place. This setup allows for fast deployment and safe storage during transit.

Installation Instructions

Mounting the Chock Holder:

  • Use the chock holder as a template to mark hole locations.
  • Drill 5/16" diameter holes for mounting.
  • Cut mounting tubes to the required length.
  • Ensure the chock has sufficient clearance to avoid contact with the edge of the running board or compartment when removed.

Storing the Space-Saver Chock:

  1. Grasp the chock by the handle grip in the cross arm casting and slide it out from under the vehicle.
  2. While holding the chock with the left hand in the hand hold of the main casting, depress the latch casting with the right thumb while lifting up on the handle on the cross bar casting.
  3. Maintain your hold on the main casting and the handle on the cross bar casting and slide the chock into the holder.
  4. Ensure the locking rod falls into position to retain the chock securely.
