Multi‑Hazard Protection Overview

DuraChem® 200 is designed as a multi‑certified, data‑driven protective garment intended for environments with chemical, flame, electrical arc, biological, molten metal, and thermal exposure risks. Its breathable construction allows the garment to meet demanding protection requirements while supporting worker comfort and productivity during extended wear.

The garment is suitable for multi‑use, single‑exposure applications and may be laundered up to 25 washes if not contaminated, helping reduce replacement costs and inventory burden.

Chemical Protection Performance

DuraChem® 200 has been tested in accordance with ASTM F903 Procedure C, demonstrating greater than 60‑minute holdout times against a broad range of chemicals, including:

  • Butyl Acetate
  • Dimethylformamide
  • Fuel H
  • Isopropyl Alcohol
  • Methyl Isobutyl Ketone
  • Nitrobenzene
  • Sodium Hydroxide (50%)
  • Sodium Hypochlorite (10%)
  • Sulfuric Acid (93.1%)

Thermal, Flame & Arc Performance

  • Flame resistance demonstrated via ASTM D6413
  • Electric arc testing pursuant to ASTM F1959, achieving an APTV of 13 cal/cm²
  • Molten metal splash performance tested with ASTM F955
  • Steam and hot water resistance verified by University of Alberta testing
  • These results support use in environments where short‑duration thermal exposure hazards may be present.

Comfort & Breathability

DuraChem® 200 is engineered to reduce heat stress through breathable fabric technology, verified through:

  • Total Heat Loss testing (ASTM F1868)
  • Water vapor transmission testing (ASTM E96)
  • Low evaporative resistance (ISO 11092)
  • These performance attributes help support worker endurance during long shifts and high‑activity operations.

Hi‑Visibility Performance (Yellow Only)

The Hi‑Vis Yellow fabric meets the most stringent requirements of ANSI/ISEA 107 Type P, Class 3, supporting roadway, low‑visibility, and emergency response applications. Hi‑visibility performance does not apply to Navy fabric.
