The Fire-Dex® 1910 Traditional Style Helmet is designed to provide exceptional protection and comfort for firefighters. Featuring a fiberglass compression-molded shell, this helmet offers superior flame and heat resistance. The thermal impact cap, ratchet adjustment, and adjustable headband ensure a secure fit with all SCBA’s.


 Features

  • Ear/Neck Cover: Black NOMEX® lined with FR Cotton for added protection.
  • Reflective Trim: 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material in Solid Lime/Silver Trim Trapezoid for high visibility.
  • Comfort: Knit sweatband and nape for enhanced comfort during extended use.
  • Convenience: Stainless steel clip and D-ring hanger for easy storage.
  • Adjustability: Large diameter pivot knobs for easy faceshield adjustments with gloved hands.
  • Chinstrap: Nomex chinstrap with an easy one-hand release buckle and postman slide.
  • Aesthetic: Carved, polished brass eagle shield holder for a traditional look.


Helmet Shell

  • Design: Flared, rear-brim design with dimensions of 15 5/8” length, 12 ¼” width, and 7” height.
  • Construction: Composite fiberglass with a thermoset resin and color pigment added to the resin.
  • Finish: Matte finish with aluminum reinforced elastomeric edge beading.
  • Attachment: Stamped, embossed brass eagle front attached by six solid brass screws and three sleeves.


Helmet Impact Liner System

  • Liner: Urethane foam liner adhered to a high heat resistant inner shell.
  • Attachment: Hook and loop material secures the impact liner system to the helmet shell.
  • Hold Down Clips: Mounted to the helmet shell to extend over the impact liner.


Helmet Headband

  • Adjustment: Quick adjustment sizing capability with a ratchet adjustment system.
  • Attachment: Attached to the impact liner system by four nylon screws.
  • Height Adjuster: Located at the rear of the headband inside the impact liner, allowing at least 1” of travel.


Helmet Chinstrap

  • Material: Two pieces of 0.75” black Nomex webbing.
  • Buckle: One-hand quick release thermoplastic buckle and postman slide.
  • Length: Fully extended maximum length of at least 24”.


Helmet Ear/Neck Cover

  • Layers: Two layers of either 100% Nomex or 60% Kevlar / 40% Nomex outer shell backed with FR cotton.
  • Attachment: Attached to the impact liner with a 3/4” strip of hook and loop material.


Helmet Retroreflective Trim

  • Markings: Eight pentagon-shaped fluorescent lime-yellow, retroreflective markings.
  • Material: Glass bead based to maximize heat resistance.


Your Choice of Eye Protection

  • Face Shield:
    • Material: Hard-coated PPC material designed to fit the contour of the helmet shell brim.
    • Mounting: Mounted to the helmet shell brim by a glass-reinforced, flame resistant, nylon handwheel on a threaded stud.
    • Certification: Meets ANSI Z87.1 Standard for Eye and Face Protection and NFPA 1971 requirements.


  • Innerzone Goggle:
    • Ventilation: Full perimeter ventilation and filtration system made from high heat resistant materials.
    • Coatings: Anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings.
    • Protection: Provides 100% UVA/UVB protection and optical clarity, meeting ANSI Z87.1 for impact resistance.
    • Strap System: One-piece quick release strap system made of 26mm wide high memory woven Nomex.

  • Shell Material: Fiberglass compression-molded with thermoset resin and color pigment.
  • Finish: Matte with aluminum reinforced elastomeric edge beading.
  • Impact Liner: Urethane foam adhered to a high heat resistant inner shell.
  • Suspension System: Three 0.75” nylon web straps with six-point tie system.
