Tools Needed
- Adjustable wrench
- Teflon tape or thread sealant
Steps
- Locate the 1" NPT Discharge Port on your pump.
- Wrap Teflon Tape around the male threads of the discharge port to ensure a watertight seal.
- Attach the Valve Assembly:
- Screw the pressure relief valve onto the discharge port.
- Ensure the valve is oriented so the discharge outlet (3/4" MGH) points away from the pump.
- Connect a Hose to the 3/4" MGH discharge fitting to direct excess water safely back to the source or a drain.
- Check the Pressure Gauge:
- Ensure the gauge is visible and upright.
- Adjust the valve to your desired pressure setting (0–200 PSI).
- Test the System:
- Run the pump and close the discharge.
- Confirm that water flows through the relief valve and the gauge reads correctly.
