- Automatic Cooling Above 82°F: The vest’s cooling action is derived from 20 individual PCM-elements (Phase Change Material) integrated into the inner lining. At a skin temperature of 82°F, the PCM-elements gradually become liquid by absorbing excessive heat, reducing skin temperature by approximately 37-39°F. The cooling benefit can last for up to 4 hours, depending on the level of physical work and ambient temperature.
- Wearing Comfort: The arrangement of the PCM-elements provides high freedom of movement thanks to their flexible body fit. The vest can be worn underneath protective clothing such as fire brigade clothing or gas-tight chemical protective suits. Broad hook-and-loop fasteners ensure a tight fit.
- Regenerates Quickly: At a storage temperature below 71°F, the elements become solid again. After a maximum of 4 hours, they are ready to use again—the colder, the faster. Unlike with ice vests, no extensive preparatory and post-work activities are necessary.
- Durable and Easy to Maintain: The PCM-elements have a service life of up to three years. The vest can be washed after the elements have been removed.
