Features

  • Bundled Configuration: Includes Dräger 4046195 (PSS® 3000 Base SCBA) and Dräger 4052955 (Panorama Nova face mask) packaged together.
  • Pressure Rating (SCBA): 2216 psi is specified for the SCBA base configuration provided.
  • Breathing Control Component: Lung Demand Valve (LDV) is explicitly included in the SCBA item description provided.
  • Facepiece Identification: The mask is identified as Panorama Nova P‑EPDM‑PC

What is it?

A two-item respiratory protection bundle consisting of:

  • an SCBA base unit (Dräger PSS® 3000 base configuration, 2216 psi, with LDV), and
  • a full face mask/facepiece (Dräger Panorama Nova P‑EPDM‑PC).

An SCBA is a self-contained system used when the surrounding air may be unsafe to breathe. A full face mask is the interface that seals to the face and connects to the breathing system.

How is it used?

In typical first responder operations, an SCBA base unit is worn (commonly on the torso/back using its harness system), and the user dons the full face mask to create a sealed breathing interface. The mask is then connected to the SCBA breathing system so the wearer can breathe from the supplied air source rather than the surrounding atmosphere.

Who uses it?

This bundle is relevant for First Responders and teams that may operate in environments where respiratory protection is required, such as:

  • Firefighters (structural/wildland interface operations as applicable)
  • HazMat response teams
  • Technical rescue teams operating near smoke, particulates, or unknown atmospheres
  • Industrial emergency response teams
  • Emergency management and mutual aid units that standardize respiratory PPE

Maintenance information

  • Routine inspection: Check condition before and after use (look for damage, wear, missing components).
  • Cleaning: Clean and dry the mask/facepiece after use following approved cleaning agents and methods specified by your organization/manufacturer.
  • Storage: Store clean, dry, and protected from UV/chemicals/extreme temperatures to reduce premature aging of elastomers and plastics.
  • Service & testing: Perform required periodic service, testing, and documentation per your department policy and the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule.
