Ziamatic WALKAWAY® SCBA Spring Clip Brackets provide a secure and accessible solution for storing self‑contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders in fire stations, apparatus compartments, and other non‑crew areas. Designed for First Responders, these brackets support quick deployment while accommodating modern SCBA harness and hose configurations.

The WALKAWAY® design allows SCBA cylinders to be stowed or removed without straps, enabling fast access during emergency response operations.

Features

  • WALKAWAY® Spring Clip Design: Uses Spring clips and a footplate to hold the SCBA cylinder securely while allowing quick removal without straps.
  • Harness and Hose Clearance: Designed with a spring clip on the lower section and a seated upper support to provide clearance around SCBA harnesses and hose assemblies.
  • Non‑Mar Coated Clips: Includes a coated upper clip to help protect the cylinder surface during storage and removal.
  • Simple Stow and Release: Cylinder is placed on the footplate and pushed into the clips to secure; removal is achieved by pulling the cylinder free.
  • Cylinder‑Specific Fit: Available in size‑specific models to match common SCBA cylinder diameters and pressure ratings.
  • Non‑Crew Area Use: Intended for installation in stations or non‑crew compartments in accordance with applicable apparatus standards.

What is it?

The Ziamatic WALKAWAY® SCBA Spring Clip Bracket is a mounting bracket designed to store SCBA cylinders securely while allowing rapid access. The bracket uses spring clips and a footplate instead of straps, making it easier for First Responders to deploy SCBA equipment quickly.

How is it used?

The SCBA cylinder valve is placed onto the footplate, and the cylinder is pushed into the spring clips until it is secured. To remove the cylinder, the user pulls it straight out of the clips. This design allows for fast stowage and retrieval during emergency response or training operations.
