Installation Instructions
Preparation
- Ensure the hydrant is fully shut off and depressurized before beginning installation.
- Gather necessary tools: wrench, lubricant, and the new inner tube.
Remove Old Inner Tube
- Use a wrench to loosen and remove the existing inner tube from the hydrant diffuser.
- Carefully detach the old inner tube, ensuring not to damage any surrounding components.
Install New Inner Tube
- Apply a small amount of lubricant to the threads of the new inner tube.
- Align the new inner tube with the NST connections on the hydrant diffuser.
- Hand-tighten the inner tube onto the diffuser, ensuring it is properly aligned.
Secure the Inner Tube
- Use a wrench to securely tighten the new inner tube onto the diffuser.
- Ensure the connection is firm but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage.
Test the Installation
- Slowly pressurize the hydrant and check for any leaks around the new inner tube.
- If leaks are detected, depressurize the hydrant and re-tighten the connections as needed.
Final Check
- Once the installation is complete and leak-free, fully pressurize the hydrant and ensure it operates correctly.
