A high‑capacity, four‑line decon system designed for rapid mass‑casualty response involving chemical, biological, or radiological exposures. The DAT®4070S supports four parallel operational lanes and three or four sequential decon stages—undress → detergent shower → rinse → redress. It deploys in under three minutes and can process four non‑ambulatory patients or up to eight ambulatory personnel simultaneously.
Features
- Heavy Duty Air Berms: Constructed from extremely heavy‑duty 1100 Dtex polyester, quadruple‑overlapped and glued, matching the structural integrity of rescue‑boat hulls.
- Extremely Rapid Deployment: Inflates virtually unaided using compressed air or the included electric inflator/deflator, enabling setup in under three minutes.
- High‑Capacity Multi‑Line Decon: Handles four parallel decon lines simultaneously and can run 3‑stage or 4‑stage configurations.
- Handles Non‑Ambulatory & Ambulatory Victims: Processes four stretcher patients or up to eight ambulatory casualties at one time.
- Extremely Stable in Harsh Conditions: Engineered for use in 70+ mph (115 kph) winds when properly anchored.
- ANSI/ISEA 113 Compliant & NFPA 1851 Gross-Decon Suitable: Ensures compliance for fire service decontamination, including immediate post‑fire washdown.
- Meets WHO/FEMA/DHS/US Military Guidelines for mass‑casualty CBRN decontamination.
What Is It?
The DAT®4070S is a four‑line, multi‑station mass‑casualty decontamination system designed for handling large numbers of contaminated victims in structured stages. Each of the four lanes can be configured as:
- Undress
- Detergent Shower #1
- Rinse Shower #2
- Redress
Or adapted so each lane can support two simultaneous personnel in separate showers.
How Is It Used?
- Inflate the structure using compressed air or the provided electric inflator/deflator (≈3 minutes).
- Connect to the water supply via the two ¾" GHT threaded inlets.
- Stage victims in the undress area, then move them through the detergent and rinse showers (24 total shower heads + spray guns).
- Redress in the exit privacy zone before releasing to the cold zone.
- Pump out wastewater (≈450 gallons capacity) when needed.
Who Uses It?
- Fire departments (gross decon, post‑structure fire NFPA 1851 compliance)
- HazMat teams
- EMS and first receivers
- Hospitals
- Military CBRN response units
- Emergency management and disaster teams
Maintenance Information
- Rinse and clean shower heads, divider curtains, hoses, and interior surfaces after use.
- Check air berms, valves, relief valve, and seams for wear or micro‑tears.
- Store in the provided heavy‑duty carry sleeve.
- Inspect and clean potable‑water‑approved hoses (Texin 985U or Texin 1209).
What Is It Used With?
The system can connect or expand with:
- Additional FSI decon shelters
- Water heaters (FSI Heat 200A)
- Detergent injectors (HEAT 201)
- Waste pumps
- LED lighting kits
- Conveyors & spine boards
- Multi‑manifold hose distribution
What Material Is It Made From?
- 1100 Dtex polyester with plastomer coating (air berms & canopy) – UV‑resistant, chemical‑resistant, heavy‑duty
- Texin 985U / Texin 1209 polyurethane hoses: NSF‑approved for potable water (NSF 61)
- Velcro‑attached canopy walls for air‑lock integrity
- Plastic containment pool frame
What’s Included & What Each Component Does — DAT®4070S (4‑Line, 3 or 4 Stage)
DAT®4070S Inflatable Decon Shelter (14.5′ W × 23′ L × 9′ H; ~330 sq. ft.)
- Four‑line, multi‑stage enclosure with heavy‑duty air‑berm frame for high‑throughput CBRN decon.
- Deploys in under three minutes for rapid operations.
Integrated Ground Floor & Containment Berm
- Permanently attached floor with raised berm to capture decon runoff inside the unit.
- Designed for continuous operations with pump‑out as needed.
Four Parallel Lanes with Stage Segments
- Undress Privacy Area at entrance.
- Two Shower Stations per Lane (detergent shower #1 and rinse shower #2).
- Redress Privacy Area at exit.
- Can be configured to operate 3 or 4 stages, or to handle two personnel in separate showers simultaneously in each lane.
Fixed Shower Heads & Handheld Spray Guns
- 24 fixed shower heads (4 sections × 3 heads per station across the lanes) for broad, even coverage.
- 12 multifunction spray guns on coiled 1/2″ hoses with shutoffs and quick‑disconnects for targeted washdown and delicate areas.
Dividers & Flow Control
- Three (3) center divider curtains to separate and control all four lines.
- Twelve (12) quarter cross‑divider curtains to create stage privacy (undress → wash → rinse → redress) and manage patient flow.
- Dirty‑entry and clean‑exit full‑closure, roll‑up zip doors to maintain one‑way movement.
Structural Roof Berms & Support
- Top center air berm running the full roof line.
- Two secondary longitudinal roof berms flanking the center (approx. 18–24″ off center).
- Lateral roof support berms across the span (model‑dependent) to enhance load‑bearing strength and stability.
Ventilation, Windows & Lighting Access
