With these classifier kits, chemicals or elements of waste water can be classified quickly. Each kit uses classifier strips that change color when in contact with the unknown liquid. Just match that color on the classifier color chart to classify the type of chemical present. Each kit contains six classifier strips, polypropylene thread, one pair of nitrile gloves, and a reusable classifier chart, all in a convenient carrying tube.
Features
- Rapid spill identification: Helps First Responders quickly classify unknown liquids as the first step in spill control.
- Color‑change classifier strips: Strips change color when exposed to an unknown liquid to indicate potential hazard categories.
- Chart‑based interpretation: Laminated reference charts allow fast visual comparison for spill classification.
- Portable tube kits: Compact tube format protects contents and supports easy carry and storage in response vehicles.
- Designed for emergency response: Intended for use by Emergency Response Teams during spill and wastewater incidents.
What is it?
Spilfyter Classifier Strip Kits are portable spill identification tools designed to help First Responders classify unknown liquids. The product family includes kits for chemical spill classification and waste water classification, using color‑change test strips and laminated reference charts to support rapid decision‑making during emergency response.
How is it used?
A classifier strip is used to test an unknown liquid sample. The strip reacts by changing color, and the result is then compared to the included laminated reference chart. This process helps responders classify the type of risk present so appropriate spill response and treatment actions can be selected.
Who uses it?
- Firefighters
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) teams
- Emergency Response Teams
- First Responders involved in spill, runoff, or wastewater incidents
