How is it used?

Using Chimfex is quick and simple. At the first sign of a chimney fire, remove the top lid to expose the scratch igniter surface. Lightly scratch the black ignition button with the cap to activate the stick (no matches needed). Immediately drop the ignited Chimfex stick into the fireplace or wood-burning stove, near the flames. Close the fireplace doors or air vents if possible – Chimfex will rapidly emit thick, black smoke that consumes the chimney’s oxygen and smothers the fire. The stick continues to burn for several minutes to ensure the flames are fully extinguished and prevent re-ignition of any remaining creosote.
