How is it used
The hood is worn as part of a firefighter’s protective ensemble, covering the head, neck, and upper shoulder areas beneath a helmet and turnout gear. It is designed to be donned easily with a stretchable face opening that fits securely around an SCBA mask while maintaining full coverage.
Intended for
Designed for structural and proximity firefighters requiring advanced particulate protection, thermal resistance, and breathable comfort during fireground operations and training scenarios.
Maintenance information
The hood should be cleaned as soon as possible after exposure to contaminants such as smoke, chemicals, or bodily fluids. Wash using warm water up to 105°F with a liquid detergent and rinse with cold water. Do not use chlorine bleach. Air drying is recommended, or tumble dry on low heat and remove while damp. Inspect before and after each use for damage, contamination, or loss of integrity. If the hood cannot be properly cleaned or shows signs of damage, it must be retired.
Storage information
Store in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and contaminants. Allow the hood to fully dry before storage and avoid compressing it in a way that could damage the fabric or seams.
